Content Policy

What we will not generate, and how the checks work. Rejections always refund; they never cost you credits.

Prohibited

  • Anything sexualising a minor. Absolute, no exceptions, whether the subject is real or synthetic. We report as the law requires and preserve the evidence.
  • Sexual content and pornographic material generally.
  • Non-consensual likenesses — a real person’s face, body, voice or performance without their documented consent. This includes public figures.
  • Political disinformation — fabricated footage of real people saying or doing things they did not, and synthetic media intended to deceive about elections or public events.
  • Graphic violence and gore, and content promoting self-harm.
  • Copyrighted material you have no right to use — film, television and music clips as references, and prompts that set out to reproduce a specific protected work.
  • Content promoting hatred against, or harassment of, a group or an individual.

How screening works

Three gates, all before anything reaches you:

  1. Prompt, before any credits are reserved — so a rejected prompt costs nothing, not even the reservation.
  2. Every reference asset, before it is sent upstream. Uploads are the highest-risk surface, so this gate is mandatory and cannot be disabled.
  3. Output, before it is shown to you or published to the showcase.

The model provider applies its own filters as well, and can reject a job we accepted. Either way, held credits come back in full — see the refund policy.

Showcase

Nothing appears in the public showcase automatically. Publishing is opt-in per generation, and every submission is reviewed by a person before it goes live.

Enforcement

A first rejection is just a rejection: adjust and try again. Repeated attempts at prohibited content, or any attempt involving minors, end the account immediately. We keep an audit record of each decision — what was checked, the verdict, and the outcome.

Reporting

To report content generated or hosted here, email abuse@sedance.app with the URL or generation id. Copyright complaints go through the DMCA process. We act on reports of sexual content involving minors immediately, ahead of everything else.
