Where to send a notice

Email is faster and is the route we monitor continuously.

What a notice must contain

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
3. The URL or generation id of the material you want removed, precise enough for us to find it.
4. Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

What we do

We remove or disable the material, record the decision, and notify the account holder with a copy of the notice. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.

Note what we can and cannot reach: material generated here is stored by us and we can remove it. We are not the model’s developer and cannot alter what an upstream model was trained on or produces.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed in error, send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, the material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district — or, if you are outside the United States, for any district where we may be found.

If the complainant does not file suit, we may restore the material within ten to fourteen business days of receiving a valid counter-notice.

Misuse

Knowingly false claims of infringement carry liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). Please be sure before you send one.
