Refunds
Most of this is automatic. You should never have to email us to get credits back for a generation that failed.

Refunded automatically, in full
Credits reserved for a generation are returned the moment any of these happens:
- the model provider fails or is unavailable;
- the job exceeds its time limit;
- you cancel before it completes;
- a content check rejects the prompt, an upload, or the output;
- a plan limit, per-job ceiling or spend cap stops the job — in which case nothing is reserved at all.
You do not need to ask, and there is no minimum. The refund lands as non-expiring credits, whatever the reservation was drawn from.
Not refunded: a generation you did not like
If a generation completes successfully, the compute was bought and spent on your instruction, and it is not refundable. We would rather say that plainly here than argue it case by case later.
This is why the studio makes the cheaper path obvious: draft at the shortest duration on a fast model, keep the same prompt and seed, and only commit to length once the shot is working. It costs less per usable clip than generating long and hoping. The cost calculator shows the difference before you spend anything.
Subscriptions
Cancel any time; you keep access and the current period’s credits until the period ends, and you are not billed again. We do not pro-rate part-months. If you were charged for a period you did not use at all, write to us within 14 days and we will refund it.
Credit packs
Unused pack credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, less any credits already spent. Once a pack has been substantially used, it is not refundable — the underlying compute was bought on your behalf.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, email us first — we can usually fix it same day. A chargeback raised without contacting us suspends the account while the dispute runs, because the compute behind spent credits cannot be returned to us.
Refund requests: support@sedance.app. Include the generation id or the payment reference.
